On June 3rd, 2017 the MCC sisters group organized an iftar, which was the first meet of its kind for MOT families to come together. More than 25 families gathered at Bluebird community center in Townsend. The brothers launched the event with a presentation on the community dream of establishing a place of worship in the town. In this presentation, the details of the plot for the future mosque were provided. The event was graciously blessed when we raised about 40% towards the requirement of our project. The potluck iftar was overwhelmingly delicious with variety of flavors from different corners of the world. Each and every person shared the excitement and worthiness of belonging to a single family in the group, and chipped in physically and financially to the best of their capacity. A number of families connected with each other, and the gathering raised an appreciable fund for our noble cause. This marked our success and strength. A beautiful and productive evening with a wonderful family!
